The Setup of UMTS/3G Modem dialog contains the parameters for configuring Internet connections via UMTS/3G devices.
The SMS Profiles dialog contains the profiles for sending alarm SMS messages.
The Camera Remote Control via SMS dialog allows configuring the camera when receiving specific commands via SMS.
Note: These features are not available for all camera models.

The Activate selection box allows specifying if and how the modem should establish an Internet connection:
Note: If the modem had been deactivated up to this point, you will need to reboot the camera after activating the UMTS/3G modem.
Parameter | Description |

Enabled | Enter the number of the phone that is allowed to send SMS messages with commands to the UMTS/3G modem. |
PIN | Enter the four-digit PIN required for unlocking the modem's USIM. | Phone number | Enter the dial-up number of the mobile network provider. |
APN | Enter the name of the UMTS/3G access point. |
Account | Enter the access data (user name and password) assigned by the mobile network provider. |
Note: Please note that changes to the configuration are only stored temporarily in the camera's active configuration. In order to store the changes permanently, you should always store the settings in the camera's permanent memory (see Storing the Configuration).

The Camera Remote Control via SMS dialog allows setting the SMS commands for remotely controlling the camera. The SMS Reception main switch allows activating/deactivating the reception of SMS messages:
Note: In order to activate the reception of SMS messages and the remote control feature, set SMS Reception to Enabled and click on the Set button at the bottom of the dialog. Note that an existing Internet connection will be closed.
You can execute the following remote commands using the parameters in the table below:
Parameter | Description |

Phone number | Enter the number of the phone that is allowed to send SMS messages with commands to the UMTS/3G modem. |
ip-message | Enter the command or code word that needs to be in the SMS. If this is the case, the camera executes the corresponding command. |
Enabled | Use this checkbox to activate/deactivate the commands that are available:
If the SMS Reception main switch is disabled, the camera will not accept any SMS messages, even if the Enabled checkbox of the corresponding command has been enabled. |
Acknowledge | If this checkbox is activated, the camera sends an acknowledgement SMS to the phone that sent the command SMS. |

Click on the Set button to activate your settings and to save them until the next reboot of the camera.
Click on the Factory button to load the factory defaults for this dialog (this button may not be present in all dialogs).
Click on the Restore button to undo your most recent changes that have not been stored in the camera permanently.
Click on the Close button to close the dialog. While closing the dialog, the system checks the entire configuration for changes. If changes are detected, you will be asked if you would like to store the entire configuration permanently.
